About Us

East Hanover, which sits between the Whippany and Passaic Rivers, was founded by early British settlers back in 1720. Today, this township boasts just over 10,000 residents who enjoy its quaint small-town feel combined with proximity to the big city. Though we are small, some of our residents have made big names for themselves, including “Snooki” who starred on MTV’s reality series Jersey Shore and Buddy Valastro whose delectable and impressive cakes are featured on Cake Boss. In addition to our famous residents, we are also home to a Mondelez International manufacturing facility, the maker of Oreos, Nilla Wafers, Nutter Butters and other delicious treats, and a division of Novartis Pharmaceuticals. East Hanover is a great place to call home, and we want to keep it that way!
